Avant garde beauty shots by photographer Iain Crawford. In his own words... "I love the fusion between paint and model. The resulting shapes are as opulent as any piece of bespoke couture. The excitement and anticipation as we waited to see the next piece of unpredictable chaos was electric. There was something magical about how random chance materialized into beautiful images in front of our eyes." Check out more from Iian Crawford.

This is the perfect item to add the "cool" factor to your back to school list. An iconic cassette - tape dispenser, pun intended! Designed by j-me, available for $20 via Style Factory.
Driven with a passion for their craft, glass masters Giovanni & Simone Cenedese team up with the Architects Studio DDF to embark on a project to construct the world largest glass Christmas tree. Standing more than 8 m high & 3 m wide, this was a spectacular monument set in Murano, Italy in '06 then in Venice in '07! I have a feeling it will be featured again somewhere around the globe at Christmas time, and when it does, I'd love to be there to see it in person!
I still love this organic, silicone, Kontur Vase designed by Mette Kargo Hvid for Normann Copenhagen! Priced at only $35, this is a score! Also, another great gift idea! Available @ 2modern.
These modern bowls are crocheted by hand using neoprene rubber, a material which is primarily used in the plumbing, car & motorcycle industries. Italian design company Neo, has found a way to integrate this material into the fashion & housewares industries in a very clever and modern way! Priced pretty reasonably, these bowls would make a great gift for the gift-giving season! Available @ Gretal. Check out more from Neo!
Morin Choiniere is a young design company based out of Montreal, Canada. Nomiya is an ultra modern restaurant with extraordinary ambiance, perched on the
rooftop of the Palais de Tokyo and is described as unforgettable culinary bliss!
It has an unobstructed front row seat to the Eiffel Tower, the Seine River and beautiful
panoramic views of Paris! It's literally a rectangular box made of glass and steel that is about the size of a shipping container that houses a 12 seat
dining room. This collaboration is an 'ArtHome' culinary project which was designed by artist, Laurent Grasso with the help of his brother/architect Pascal Grasso, hosted by the Palais de Tokyo, and commissioned by Electrolux. The Nomiya concept was inspired by the tiny Japanese restaurants/bars, with the purpose of recreating an intimate social experience that is focused around one communal table as to encourage quality conversation and interaction amongst patrons. Because of the limited seating, be
sure to account for the required one month in advance reservation or you will be
out of luck! If I make it back to Paris any time soon, Nomiya is an absolute
must!
All cuisine done by Gilles Stassart and his team!
